Busan Museum was opened in 1978 and has a lot of collections of Korea history from prehistory period, three kingdoms period, Unified Silla period, Goryeo period, Joseon period, Japan invasion period, present-day, and modern times period. The museum opens every day from 09:00 until 20:00, except Jan 1st and Monday (if a holiday falls on Monday, the museum will be closed on the following day).
Busan Museum can be easily reached by public transportations such as bus number 134, 68, 138, 51, 139, 1001, 103 or walking about 15 minutes from Daeyeon subway station (line 2, green line) exit no 3.

Busan Museum has opened culture experience center where we can enjoy trying Korea tea ceremony, taste Korean rice cake, try to wear Hanbok, and try Korean printing using old technique.

The tea ceremony is held 3 times a day (10:30, 13:30, and 15:00) in the tea ceremony room. The tea ceremony will be guided by an instructor. You can feel the art of drinking Korea green tea which relaxes your mind and your body.

Don’t forget to bring your camera! You can capture your self wearing Hanbok with a nice background. They provide several kinds of Hanbok to try such as Gonryongpo, Ikseongwan, Hwalot, Wosam and so on. The collection from the simple style to the colorful one which is usually worn by queen or during the wedding ceremony.

You can also try Korean printing using old technique, but to do this you need to purchase ink, Chinese drawing paper, cotton wool stick and some other equipment from the souvenir corner for 2.000 won. Of course you can bring your printing back home.

The cultural experience center opens in the same day as the museum from 10:00 to 17:00 (but the entrance is limited to 16:30). Sometimes they limit the number of participant if there are many visitors, so it is better for you to make a reservation in advance from the Busan Museum website at http://engmuseum.busan.go.kr/.
