Anna Karenina - The novel

Anna Karenina [Anna Karenin], Novel Rusia karangan Leo Tolstoy, yang menjadi salah satu novel terbaik. Ok, aku juga setuju :")
Males euy nulis ringkasannya.
Aku aja sampai bingung mau mendukung siapa.

My favourite quotes :"]

-1. Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.
0. "I know a gallant steed by tokens sure, And by his eye I know a youth in love,"
1. "Do you know, Anna, my youth and my beauty are gone, taken by whom? By him and his children. I have wroked for him, and all I had has gone in his service, and now of course any fresh, vulgar creature has more charm for him. No doubt they talked of me together, or, worse still, they were silent. Do you understand?"
Kata Dolly ketika Anna meminta agar dia memaafkan suaminya yang selingkuh.
3. "I think ... if so many men, so many minds, certainly so many hearts, so many kinds of love."
4. Stiva : "...Woman, don't you know, is such a subject that however much you study it, it's always perfectly new."
Levin : "Well, then, it would be better not to study it."
Stiva : "No. Some mathematician has said that enjoyment lies in the search for truth, not in the finding it."
5. "But I'm married, and believe me, in getting to know throughly one's wife, if one loves her, as some one has said, one gets to know all women better than if one knew thousands of them."
Kata Serpuhovsky kepada Vronsky.
6. "And secondly, it's not the reward that's precious, but the work itself. And I could have wished you understood that. If you now are going to work, to study in order to win a reward, then the work will seem hard to you; but when you work, loving your work, you will find your reward in it."
Kata Alexey Alexandrovitch kepada anaknya Alexander Nevsky (Seryozha).
7. "Yes, altogether," thought Darya Alexandrovna, looking back over her whole existence during those fifteen years of her married life, "pregnancy, sickness, mental incapacity, indefference to everyting, and most of all - hideousness. ..."
Darya Alexandrova(Dolly) mengingat-ingat masa-masa setelah pernikannya yang menyedihkan.

Ah.. kenapa sih? Kenapa Anna harus selingkuh? :(
